CAR CLUB meets on the first Thursday of each month upstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 293 (Victoria Quay) at 7 p.m. New members welcome. No need to have a car — just an interest in vehicles.

The Alberni Pacific Railway presents the annual Santa train with the No. 7 steam engine,  Dec. 19–21. Friday night trains will run at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, trains will run at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets may be available online at www.albernipacificrailway.ca.

December 20 & 21,  The fire department will be travelling around the Beaver Creek area to collect donations. Santa and the Grinch will be at the firehall from 2-5 p.m. Trucks and volunteers will drive around neighbourhoods from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday and 5–7:15 p.m. Sunday collecting food.

Dec 20 & 21 - Bring your friends, family and furry family for pictures with Santa,12–3 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre, 4904 Argyle St. Bring your own camera; photos by donation. Santa will also be at the Capitol on Sunday, Dec. 21, all from 12–3 p.m.
